Fenty Beauty just released their We’re Even Hydrating Concealer and before you ask, yes it’s officially part of my makeup routine. Let’s break down the reasons why below:
One thing about Fenty Beauty is that their packaging will always be memorable and that’s the case for the We’re Even Concealer. It’s sleek and modern shape is showcased within its rectangular (pentagonal prism to be exact) shape, which sets it apart from the cylindrical packaging of its competitors. The small and curved doefoot applicator is also a stand out part of the design because it ensures for a mess-free and precise application with each use. I was able to grab it first amongst my other concealers and apply it to all the small corners of my face quickly.
Skin-Enriching Ingredients:
Fenty Beauty had me at ingredients because this is the reason I was interested in the concealer to begin with. I like the idea of a product that can achieve two things at once, so a concealer packed with skincare makes for the perfect purchase for me. Especially when it is enriched with a blend of nurturing ingredients such as , Prickly Pear Cactus Extract which is a humectant that attracts moisture, Sodium Hyaluronate that is known for its hydrating and conditioning properties and Persian Silk Tree Extract which specifically targets signs of fatigue around the eyes. We love a concealer that goes beyond coverage because this also actively nourishes and rejuvenates the skin with every use.
The Shade(s) of it all:
One of the reasons why I’m always fan girling Fenty Beauty is because of the extensive shade range within their products. It feels as though, they go above and beyond in making their products inclusive for the diverse beauty in every individual. Something that seems to be an after thought for many beauty brands. I’m still floored by the 50 shades that We’re Even Hydrating Concealer comes in because I actually had a few options to choose from as I couldn’t decide between shades 425W and 450N ( I opted for 440W by the way). This commitment to inclusion via concealers is a great step for anyone looking to find their perfect match and I’m happy to know that Fenty Beauty will offer products to help us embrace our unique beauty with confidence.
The longwearing formula:
Apart from the standout ingredients within this concealer, is its formula. This medium coverage formula is creamy, highly pigmented and stays in place, which I was impressed by. It didn’t cake up as you would expect with a medium coverage concealer, but instead blended out to cover my dark circles while still leaving a skin like finish. It also didn’t crease up after wearing it for a few hours and didn’t require additional powders or anything to set it. Impressed, is the only word I’d use for this long wear and hydrating concealer as it ensures your skin looks fresh, radiant, and flawlessly concealed.
The Real Tea:
Now that we’ve gone over the sophisticated packaging, beneficial skincare ingredients, inclusive shade ranges and crease proof formula, you can now understand why Fenty Skin’s We’re Even Hydrating Concealer is now a staple part of my makeup routine.
