I’ll be the first to tell you that while I am completely enamored by the brilliance of Christopher John Rogers, my wallet doesn’t seem to share the same sentiments. Yes, the young designer has created iconic pieces adorned by Michele Obama and an impressive RTW line at high-end retailers like Bergdorf Godman and NET-A-PORTER, but nothing (to me at least) is as epic as his collection at Target. Let’s just say that my wallet and I are finally in agreement for once about acquiring show-stopping pieces.

If we are similar in our admiration for all things puff sleeve and vibrancy in our outfits, you will be pleased by this launch. It contains many colorful pieces that incorporates volume within almost every garment. My must-have for this dress collection are the two-toned belted dress and floral puff sleeve dress. To no one’s surprise, both dresses are a complete embodiment of my style.
Tips On Shopping the Designer Dress Collection for Target!
- Set an alarm for the collection launch online at Target.com and the Target App on Sunday, May 16th at 2 AM CST or 12 AM PST with varying selections by store. I’m planning to utilize either the curbside or in store pick-up option. ( Yes! I am that gal)
- Preview the full collection of 25 dresses for the Christopher John Rogers collection and 75 for the full designer dress collection that range from $40-$60 in price and XXS – 4X and 0-20W in size.
- Register or Sign in to your account and favorite all the pieces that you want.
- Make sure all your payment and shipping information is updated. Target also offers a variety of payment types like PayPal, Sezzel and Affirm
- Using a note taking app on your phone/desktop (I’ve even emailed myself), make a tiered list of your must have item links. to have handy when the launch becomes live. **I know this sounds a bit neurotic, but I’ve found this to be my fail-proof method to securing my ideal pieces during a popular launch.
- This extra step is only if I miss out on pieces online, but I may shop the stores that cary the launch and/or search pre-loved sites for NWT (new with tag) items.
